2/25/2014 0 Comments Absolutely AmazingĀAs I begin my 18th year in the carpet cleaning business, I have been amazed at some of the challenges and struggles that have helped me to become successful along the way.
My first employer in the carpet care business in 1996 was a man by the name of Chuck Arnold. He gave me many opportunities and chances to succeed. When BJ Carpet care was born, I met another very good friend by the name of Gail Parker. She has been an amazing friend and blessing. Thank you Gail. I could elaborate quite a while on the many people that have inspired me. My wife Brenda is one of those who stood by me as we went forward. I think about that first year when 8 friends and family members became our first customers. Then we went from 8 to 240 customers in that first year. What an absolutely amazing first year! Lord, thank You for being good and faithful to me--much more than I deserve!

2/18/2014 2 Comments An Overwhelming ConfidenceAfter working for several years with a good carpet, furniture and drapery cleaning business, I was able to learn all phases of the operation. This allowed me to start BJ Carpet Care. We are now four years old and it sure has been an exciting challenge and adventure. I can't wait to see what the future holds.
Thinking back to that first year, February 2010, one of the biggest events of that year was a snow storm that delivered three feet of snow--not very encouraging to say the least. Two weeks later the snow was gone, and we hit the road to the Bane-Clene headquarters in Indianapolis, Indiana to have our carpet cleaning equipment installed in our truck. Before 2010, I had absolutely no confidence in starting our business, but l am thankful for an overwhelming confident from the Lord. |
